My fellow photographer friend and I lucked out by being in Thunder Bay at the same time. She mentioned that her mom owned a property that would be perfect for photography….and she wasn’t wrong. We went out for a mini shoot and a catch up (it had probably been 15 years since we last saw each other……) I fell in love with this place…and she was kind enough to lend it to me for my shoot (see previous blog post!).

Thanks Ang for the great morning. It was so nice to get to meet A and have the chance to photograph her.  I hope you like your sneek peek! (and I hope we get the chance to shoot together again soon!)

A was so patient with the shooting but I was pushing it This is my daughter attempting to cheer her up :

I was lucky enough to get to do a shoot (with 2 fun girls!) while I was up in Thunder Bay visiting my parents. I was double lucky to have a friend’s property to shoot on. This place was photography heaven – too bad it’s a 20 hour drive from where I live.

L and M were so easygoing, outspoken, adventurous and fun to be with! They found something to play with or explore at each of the different areas we went to – I really didn’t have to do much to engage them. They were authentic through and through. I love shooting kids like that! 

It’s not hard to see why they are such beautiful children!

Another session that ended in ice cream – I love my job I think I’m going to add it to my contract that summer sessions have to end with ice cream.

I was lucky enough to photograph another gorgeous family. This session was so much fun….we ran through fields, played hide and seek in the flowers, (got eaten by mosquitos), climbed trees, played on monkey bars and rolled down hills. We then went for ice cream!

 I hope that their fun spirit and obvious love for one another comes through in these photos.

I have been looking forward to shooting K - I knew it was going to be so much fun.  He has such a sweet spirit – he loves exploring, watching the snakes and fish, sharing flowers with his parents and snuggling with his (very well behaved!) dog. He was an absolute joy to photograph! Thank you M and G for the wonderful morning (and for the ice cream!) You are a beautiful family!
